At WSN, we have youth-friendly information resources/tools on violence prevention, developed and disseminated at youth-serving organizations and in youth community spaces

Trauma counselling for youth aged 12-21 who have experienced sexual violence, or are at-risk of sexual violence: individual counselling, mental health and substance abuse support

Our programming is informed by consultations/needs assessments with youth, and includes: Trauma-informed programming , Community engagement activities, Supports focused around Black youth, Gender based programming  and Mental health programming and supports

Empowering Youth

A Project for Young Trafficked Survivors: advances options, community resources and self-efficacy in order to empower youth and bring about their recovery from sexual violence and human trafficking. Empowering Youth provides outreach to trafficked youth aged 12-21, trauma counselling and case management for trafficked youth; support with systems navigation, access to healthcare, legal support and housing; and education and job connections.

Sexual Violence Counselling

WSN's Sexual Violence Counselling Program provides individuals who have experienced sexual violence with client-centred, trauma-informed counselling at no cost, no matter where they are on their healing journey. WSN's Rapid Response counselling service is for individuals who have had an experience of recent sexual violence within the last year or are experiencing unexpected and overwhelming trauma symptoms.  Rapid Response counselling consists of 1-3 counselling sessions

More support options:

    • Virtual drop-in – Every Thursday | 4 – 6 PM:  WSN offers accessible, inclusive, and free Virtual Drop-In Support every Thursday from 4-6 PM via Zoom. Virtual drop-in support is designed to support one-on-one survivors and those at risk of sexual violence and/or human trafficking who are not currently receiving ongoing support or who are on waitlists to receive ongoing support. Each session is a maximum of 45 minutes per person.
    • Online Chat/SMS service – Every Thurs, Fri & Sat | 4 – 8PM:  As an alternative to speaking on the phone for crisis support, WSN offers an online and SMS crisis chat service to support survivors. Individuals can access non-judgmental emotional support, referrals, resources, grounding techniques, information and more.  If you need support, connect with us during the scheduled hours by visiting our website and click “start a new chat” or text 647-694-2818.
    • 24/7 crisis/support line:  WSN’s crisis line supports individuals through non-judgmental emotional support, referrals, resources, grounding techniques, information and more. If you need support, connect with us at: 1-800-263-6734.
